Burglars strike while woman is home

About 12:50 p.m. Nov. 2, a Wyomissing resident was in the basement of her home in the 1300 block of Monroe Avenue when she heard some noises upstairs. She called out to the noisemaker, thinking it was her husband. But when she heard no response the woman went up to the first floor to investigate. Instead of her spouse she found two strangers, a man and woman. The pair went out through the back door, got in a vehicle and drove away.
