Allentown man could face trial on forgery charges
A 24-year-old Allentown resident waived his preliminary hearing Oct. 19 on charges stemming from his Oct. 2 arrest. Wyomissing police said the man tried to pay for merchandise with a phony $100 bill at VF Outlets in the borough. He now faces a possible jury trial on charges of forgery, theft by deception, attempted theft by deception and receiving stolen property. His bail was reduced from $15,000 to $1,000.
