Reading man waives hearing on theft, other charges

A man whom West Reading police arrested Aug. 8 on suspicion of prowling in a parking lot in the 500 block of Reading Avenue in the borough waived his preliminary hearing Sept. 3. A charge of possessing instruments of crime was withdrawn but the man, a 32-year-old Reading resident, could face trial on the other charges of charges of loitering and prowling at night and theft. He was returned to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
