West Reading man faces charges following burglary

West Reading police received a report shortly after 10 a.m. July 20 of a man trying to climb in the window of a home in the 300 block of Spruce Street. Officers from Wyomissing police and the Berks County sheriff’s office also responded. The suspect, a 22-year-old West Reading man, faces one charge each of criminal trespassing, criminal attempt and possessing instruments of a crime. He was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
