Wyomissing police received several complaints about 11:30 a.m. July 23 about door-to-door salespeople trying to hawk cleaning supplies throughout Wyomissing. Police decided they would ask them to leave the borough if anyone else called to complain. More people did complain, and police told the group’s leader to round up all the workers and leave Wyomissing.
At least two others reported receiving visits from cleaning-supply vendors as late as 7 p.m. in Wyomissing. One left a mark on the sidewalk in front of a borough house but never had the chance to show off his product’s abilities.
