Driver arrested following West Reading car accident

An early morning car crash in West Reading led to drunken-driving charges for the driver. About 1:30 a.m. June 18 in the 500 block of Franklin Street, police arrived to find two cars with considerable damage. The drunken-driving suspect’s car had damage on the passenger’s side. A second car had damage to the driver’s side rear bumper and the rear fender, as well as scratches along the driver’s side. The suspect’s car had to be towed and the driver faces drunken-driving charges.
