Cell phone held for ransom

Someone picked up a cell phone on June 14 belonging to a Wyomissing resident who left it at the pool that day. A child later called the home, in the 1400 block of Cleveland Avenue, asking for a cash reward for the phone’s return. Instead the victim’s mother cancelled the cell phone service.
