Shoplifting suspect waives preliminary hearing

A 42-year-old Reading woman could face a jury trial on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property. Wyomissing police said she stole $125 worth of merchandise Sept. 4 from the stores at VF Outlet in the 800 block of Hill Avenue in the borough. She waived her preliminary hearing Oct. 1 and was sent to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
