Fight at restaurant leads to drug arrest

West Reading police officers, with some help from Wyomissing police, responded to a report of a fight about 2:38 a.m. Sept. 24 at a restaurant in the 400 block of Penn Avenue. One victim said he had come out of the restroom and saw a fight going on. The next thing he knew, someone punched him. He fought back as the fight eventually went outside. A second victim, a woman, was reportedly struck when she tried to help the man.

Police found one suspect in the fight and arrested him on unrelated drug charges. An officer saw drugs in the suspect’s vehicle, which was also seized.
