Officer makes pair of drug arrests following traffic stops

A West Reading police officer stopped a vehicle for an unspecified traffic violation about 3 a.m. Sept. 12 at the intersection of North Fifth and Penn avenues. He found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and the driver now faces drug charges.

Later that night, at about 9:05 p.m., the same officer stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Penn Avenue for a traffic violation. This time, both the driver and passenger had drug paraphernalia on them. They now face charges as well.
