Car stolen from Sears, recovered in Fleetwood

A Sears Automotive worker went to get a customer’s car that had a dead battery and was left running outside the garage about 11:15 a.m. Sept. 20 at the store in the Berkshire Mall, in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing. By the time the mechanic got there the car was gone. Store security cameras showed the vehicle leaving the lot but not who was driving it.

At about 5:40 p.m. that afternoon, the car was recovered in the 600 block of Eagle Road in Fleetwood, Pa., about 15 miles to the northeast of Wyomissing. A witness spoke with the theft suspect and gave a detailed description to police.
