Wyomissing police encounter drunks late at night

Shortly before 2 a.m. Aug. 15, a Wyomissing police officer spotted a man slumped against a tree on Trent Avenue in the borough. The man was apparently drunk and had thrown up on himself. The officer told him to call someone for a ride to take him home.

A short time later another Wyomissing police officer spotted another drunk man, this time about 2:17 a.m. at the corner of Penn and Fairview avenues. The man had unspecified injuries to his face and said he had been in a fight with a former friend. He wouldn’t identify the person who’s now his nemesis and insisted he didn’t want any further action. His girlfriend came to pick him up.
