West Reading police stopped a car about 3:20 a.m. June 14 in the 400 block of Penn Avenue for having expired registration. When the officer ran the tags, the registration came back to another vehicle. The driver also gave a fake name. She was arrested and the vehicle was impounded. The suspect, a 28-year-old woman, faces charges of forgery, giving false identification, providing false information and tampering with public records. She was jailed in lieu of $40,000 bail.
