Shoplifting suspect flees store

In the afternoon of June 9 an employee at a store in the 1800 block of Papermill Road spotted a man running away with unpaid merchandise. The worker chased the man, whom police caught at a nearby business. The suspect, a 34-year-old Reading man, faces one charge each of retail theft and receiving stolen property. He was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
