The borough had two cases of fraud and one case of forgery/counterfeiting from June 1-4. One fraud was reported in person June 3 at police headquarters on Chestnut Street. The second case occurred June 4 in the 400 block of Cherry Street.
The forgery case was reported the afternoon of June 1 in the first block of South Sixth Avenue. Another forgery was also reported in Wyomissing a few days before, on May 30; a worker at a store in the 1100 block of Berkshire Boulevard told police someone paid with a counterfeit $100 bill.
